Food for Thought brings to your neighborhood a casual and relaxed approach to learning practical and inspiring methods for a happy life as taught by Buddha. These methods can solve our daily problems, help develop peace of mind in any circumstance, show how to keep a happy heart in all relationships - good or bad - and offer a special wisdom that can transform every experience into a rich, spiritual path. In the same way that Buddha taught each individual according to their personal inclination and capacity, Food for Thought is intended to reach out and offer something for everyone, at any level of interest.
Cool the Heat of Anger
Go Beyond Anger Management!
When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as our problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the side of the mind.
If we responded to difficult situations with positive or peaceful mind they would not be problems for us. Eventually we might even regard them as challenges or opportunities for growth and development.
Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore, if we want to be free from problems, we must transform our mind.
Teachings will be from the book How to Solve our Human Problems, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Led by Lay Kadampa Buddhist Teacher Chris Byrne.
