Good Food with a Good Heart

Every step of the way, the World Peace Café The World Peace Café has arisen from a heart of giving. The construction and opening of the Café was funded entirely through donations. The construction was completed almost entirely by volunteers. The Café is staffed daily primarily by volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering or supporting the vision of the World Peace Café, we have plenty of shifts where you can learn to prepare delicious food, coffee, and tea. Volunteering is an expression of a pure-hearted intention. Give yourself an inspirational break from your routine and put spiritual principles into practice with everyone you meet. Volunteering at the World Peace Café helps create good relationships with others and peace in our world.

Working Holidays

Out-of-town NKT visitors can volunteer 40 hours over five days in exchange for seven days of free dormitory accomodations and three vegetarian meals per day. You are also welcome to take part in the spiritual activities at Rameshori Buddhist Center. Attend classes on Buddhist meditation in the evenings, take part in daily chanted prayers, and enjoy special events for free as a working visitor.
